Münsterplatz Ulm & exhibition in Museum Ulm
In homage to the greatest genius of the 20th century, Einstein’s birthplace Ulm has invited internationally renowned concept artist Ottmar Hörl (*1950) to create a temporary sculpture project. Hörl became world-famous thanks to radical concepts and major projects featuring serial sculptures, based on the idea of art as a communication model and organisational principle. He is now transforming Münsterplatz into a communicative art-exhibition space that will create a sense of identity with 500 respectfully crafted Einstein sculptures.
Visitors will be invited to take a closer look at Einstein in Ulm. Everyone who comes into contact with the installation will become part of it. The subsequent displacement from the public into the private space is part of the artistic concept. Einstein fans can support the project through buying one of the coveted sculptures, becoming ambassadors for Einstein and his reinforced presence in Ulm.
